From a small village to international cricket grounds, the warriors of Laikipia, Kenya use cricket as an agent of change. They are using the sport as a tool to eradicate early marriages and Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) for the Maasai girls.

At the foot of mount kenya is Laikipia county, home to the Massai people. The Maasai in this county live in remote areas like Endana village.

Culturally the Maasai “Morans” or warriors are pillars of their community. They spend most of their youth in the bush, hunting and protecting their herds of goats and cattle and guarding their community from wild animals and human raiders.
