Egbin Power Plc, a Nigerian firm, has shown interest in Tanzania’s energy sector by potentially installing a natural gas-fired power plant in the East African country. An invest of about $630 million.

This private-public project will be a much needed boost to Tanzania’s power generation.

Mr Dallas Peavey said the construction of the power plant (under Sahara Group) is expected to start after all the paper work is done with Tanzania’s government.
